발달장애인과 그들을 돌보는 이의 평온한 일상을 위한 구강 관리 솔루션, 버블리(VERVLY) 칫솔입니다.

발달장애인에게 양치질은 단순한 일상이 아니라 큰 도전이 될 수 있습니다. 이 프로젝트는 그들의 삶에 보다 편안하고 안정적인 일상을 만들어 주기 위해 시작되었습니다.

제품 개발 과정에서는 장애인 전문 치과의사와 치위생사, 발달장애인 부모들을 대상으로 한 다수의 심층 인터뷰와 아이디어 검증, MVP 테스트를 통해 실제 사용 환경에서 필요한 요소들을 면밀히 반영했습니다.

버블리 칫솔은 보다 안정적인 사용을 위해 두꺼운 그립을 적용하고, 다양한 잡기 방식을 고려한 중앙 홀 구조를 설계했습니다. 또한 길게 설계된 칫솔 목과 부드러운 곡선 형태를 통해 사용성과 접근성을 높였습니다.

구강 내 시야 확보를 돕는 바이트 블록, 안전한 실리콘 소재, 그리고 불소 치약 적정량 가이드를 적용해 보호자와 사용자가 보다 안전하고 올바르게 양치할 수 있도록 했습니다. 무엇보다 위생적인 교체형 헤드 구조를 적용해 관리 편의성까지 고려했습니다.

이러한 가치와 디자인 완성도를 인정받아 iF Design Award 2025를 수상하며 제품의 의미와 가능성을 입증했습니다.

A VERVLY toothbrush, an oral care solution designed to support a calm and comfortable daily life for people with developmental disabilities and those who care for them.

For many individuals with developmental disabilities, brushing teeth is not a simple daily routine but a significant challenge. This project began with the goal of bringing greater ease and stability to their everyday lives.

The product was developed through an extensive research process that included in-depth interviews with specialized dentists, dental hygienists experienced in treating people with disabilities, and parents of individuals with developmental disabilities. The team also conducted idea validation and MVP testing to ensure the design truly reflects real-life needs.

The VERVLY toothbrush features a thicker grip for better control, along with a central hole that accommodates various gripping styles. It also incorporates a longer neck with a soft, ergonomic form to improve accessibility and ease of use.

To enhance safety and usability, the toothbrush includes a bite block for better visibility inside the mouth, safe silicone materials, and a fluoride toothpaste guide that indicates the appropriate amount. In addition, the replaceable head design ensures improved hygiene and convenient maintenance.

The value and quality of the design were recognized internationally with the iF Design Award 2025.
