Functional Chair

유압 스프링을 사용해 일어설 때 엉덩이를 밀어 올려주거나 앉을 때 엉덩이를
지지해주며 완충해주는 서포트 기능을 가진 기능성 체어입니다. 본 프로젝트는
아이디어 단계에서부터 엔지니어와 협업하여 프로토타입 제작 및 테스트,
디자인이 동시에 진행된 프로젝트로 일반 기능성, 의료용 체어와는 달리 기능
이외의 스타일링적 요소를 최대한 배제하여 심플하고 기능에 충실한
디자인을 목표로 진행하였습니다.

This is a functional chair with a support function that uses hydraulic springs to push up the buttocks when standing up or to support and buffer the buttocks when seated.
This project was collaborated with engineers from the idea stage, prototyping, testing, and designing were carried out simultaneously.
Unlike general functionality and medical chairs, we aimed for a simple and functional design eliminating styling elements.
